Hello all,
Glad to see the memory of Horizon hasn't sunk (pardon the pun). I don't recognise half the names. Unfortunately, i do recognise others!
I left Horizon in 96, went freelance, then got a job as chief Nav ( i know i know!) with Fugro, i quit in Dec 1999- i had a party to go to!
Spent 3 years as a land lubber, fixing cars up for disabled drivers, ran out of money and came back to see the sea.
Still in Ireland (love it), got a son, 3.5, Best thing ever!
Currently with GeoBird (Seabird) based in Dubai, working in the North Sea ( Again). Still haven't met a crew as good as the one on the Pacific. Mad times!
Drop me a line,
Enjoy.

Hi Mark,
I have worked for them since January, not too bad to work for, they have a lot of work at the moment. they are just a management company, they find investors with lots of cash and spend it for them.
The wages are not the highest, but not so bad either. 38.5k for chief Nav, paid from the Virgin islands, so Gordon Brown can't get his greasy mits on it!
All 2D work at present, although i did a shallow water 3D job for them last year. it's Dull Dull Dull, but then again, when was seismic interesting? ( except when it goes horribly wrong!)
Good site, missing a few of the old boys, hopefully they will find it and register.
10 shots to go................
Cheers
Chris.
