Hello all,

I spoke to Melissa hope today. The details that should have been released in '3 weeks' apparently now exist in draft form and are awaiting a decision from the trustees - Peter Rees, George Purdie and Neil Campbell. No details were available as to when the Three Wide Men would release this information to the holders.

GEF

All

I had a letter from Andrew Halliday a while back - I did actually write to Peter Rees but he didn't seem to want to answer my questions so passed the letter on.Most were answered which included how much they took for "managing" the account, however It did say that there was no easy answer to winding the fund up due to the governments new legislation.
They wrote to the inland revenue in May 2004 with their final queries and were awaiting their response. I was under the understanding that they had concluded all this in 2003. I did also ask for all tax references to the inland revenue but they were not forthcoming.
As the account should have all been sorted by now, there should be virtually no charges for keeping the fund running, but does that mean we can use it as a private pension fund now and add to it. Whether you would want these jokers to run it or not remains an issue. I am a bit surprised about George P as I didn't think he thought much of their handling of the case in the past.

I an sure it will all be sorted soon and...............................................................................

Hello all,

Melissa called back this morning. She enthused that both an Investment Revue and the accounts for the
assets had been carried out since April 2004. She seemed puzzled when I asked if there had been any
moves to wind up the scheme (what's wrong with leaving it where it is?).
It would appear that the trustees have decided to defer the winding up process (reasons vague).
She indicated that this was the decision of Peter Rees and George Purdie but she was unsure of the
status of Neil Campbell.
She did say that the members would be consulted (in the next 3 weeks) as to what they would like
to happen????
She will not be in the office next week (large suitcase, tickets to Rio).

GEF

Hi Guys, I think this is all getting out of hand now, I have also phoned about
3 times over the last 12 months to get similar shrug off type responses..
Surely this can not continue until they have milked the pension fund dry...

The news reports sent out when they have hand enough complaints always seem to promise "near" action, but it never happens..

So what now... any ideas??

They say no news is good news - and that response (from WWH) is so typical.
There is nothing like a good day. This was nothing like a good day.

Hello all,

I called Peter today but 'he had just left the office'.
Melissa was in but she was not 'up to speed' with the Horizon Pension fund case, so she took my number and said that she would call back once she had reviewed the case details. She did advise me that this would take a day or two .....

Hi
I spoke to Andrew Halliday today. The trustees are waiting until April to see if they can take advantage of possible government compensation to pension funds of liquidated companies. He is expecting an update to be issued by the trustees shortly.
...not that I've got anything in the fund worth bothering over!

Cheers
