Hello all,

Since my last post i have left Geobird/Seabird. I would like to express my opinion of them but i'm not one to hold a grudge!!!!

Had a brief sojurn with Wavefield but a cabin party put paid to that! ( it never bothered anyone on the Pacific).

Now freelance again with Nautech, been on PGS vessels all year which is great as i avoid all the politics.

Still in Ireland, got a few horses, a dog and a leaky Norton. Doing the Mongol rally this year for a laugh, so if any of you rich oil and gas types fancy sponsoring me ( it's buy a cow for African farmers etc ) i'll be posting the deatils early next year.

Currently in GOM doing a WATS survey, home for xmas.

Regards to you all

Marky Mark......

Got this dodgy looking website address from George Farmer and took a look..... Nice one Pal, great to see some of the old names in here.

I'm now back in the seismic game, thought I'd got out of it for 4 years with me own scuba diving shop, but those little seismic hooks pulled me back again in 2003.

With CGG now and have turned to the "dark side". Gave up swinging the spanners and now HSE Advisor on CGG Alize.

Going back to the old SLAB (Laurentian) in Jan 07 working down the Falklands..... Should be fun..... Was on her from 2003 - 2005, lets just say that cabin parties are still good, but she's needing some paint.

Married a good Scottish Lass - Jill in 2002, and now have 2 ankle biters - Cerys 2 and Dylan 8 weeks..... Kids are great but me house stinks of sh1te.......

Have passed the website address onto Stormin Normin, so no doubt some of you will be getting some abuse in the near future. If anyone has contact details for Dave Underdown, please let me know.

Keep up the good work Marky Mark, give us a shout if you're ever up in Aberdeen, it'll be good to drink some beer and talk about all the old times.... Very sad, but good fun.

Jakey - The Exceptionally Good Looking Welshman......

Update / Update..... :D

I'm back to being a land lubber. Currently working as QHSE Manager for an ROV company based up here in Aberdeen. For all you bored shippers still out there banging away and bored, here's the link for the new business - http://www.helixesg.com/EnergyServices/ ... fault.aspx

Anyway, only other news is that we're also moving house the beginning of Dec 07. Apart from all that, everything else is good.

Stilll can't find Dave Underdown if anyone knows where he is.... :?

Hello all,
Apologies for not finding this site before. It is a long time since those heady seismic days and a lot of water has passed under the bridge.
I have crossed over to the green side! And have spent the last five years working to offset the environmental havoc the seimic boys create - keep up the good work since it keeps me in a job. :D
I am working for the Energy Saving Trust and I manage a programme in Scotland which provides support to businesses looking to reduce their energy consumption.
If any of my old shipmates find themselves in Edinburgh then they can contact me on john.murray@est.org.uk and I will drag them around a few bars - just like old times.
I still keep in touch with Bill-a-bong (who is now a paramedic), Glen Pangle (who is still taking the oil dollar) and Flynie (who hasn't changed a bit and is still a legend).
Hope life is treating you all well,
JohnJohn
